The 5th Wave By: Rick Yancy

The 5th Wave

Synopsis from BarnesandNoble.com:
After the 1st wave, only darkness remains. After the 2nd, only the lucky escape. And after the 3rd, only the unlucky survive. After the 4th wave, only one rule applies: trust no one.

Now, it’s the dawn of the 5th wave, and on a lonely stretch of highway, Cassie runs from Them. The beings who only look human, who roam the countryside killing anyone they see. Who have scattered Earth’s last survivors. To stay alone is to stay alive, Cassie believes, until she meets Evan Walker. Beguiling and mysterious, Evan Walker may be Cassie’s only hope for rescuing her brother—or even saving herself. But Cassie must choose: between trust and despair, between defiance and surrender, between life and death. To give up or to get up.

I have seen this book everywhere and i finally picked it up and I’m so glad that I did. This book was AMAZING! The beginning kept you in the dark a little bit which kept you entertained and hooked. Throughout the whole book I found myself jumping to so many different conclusions on the characters and who to trust because the author kept you on the edge of your seat with the characters. This made the book all the more entertaining and made me want to keep reading until the ending, which was also spectacular. I gave this book 5 out of 5 stars because of the non stop action and twists and turns that made every page great.

  1. I just received a copy of this from the publisher! I am so terribly excited to read it, as I have seen so many raving 5 star reviews.
I love books that keep you guessing, but don’t make you frustrated, either. It’s always interesting to see how right/wrong you are 🙂
